Position Overview

​

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR practices, a passion for supporting employee relations, and expertise in various HR functions.

This role requires a comprehensive understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices to foster a positive and efficient work environment. The HR Generalist will play a key role in recruitment, employee development, performance management, compensation, and compliance with employment laws.

Key Responsibilities

​

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and new employee onboarding.

  • ​

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and workplace issues.

  • Provide support in conflict resolution and address employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.

  • ​

Performance Management:

  • Assist in administering performance evaluations and employee recognition programs.

  • Support the development of action plans for performance improvement.

  • ​

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Administer compensation programs, including salary reviews, incentive plans, and benefit enrollments.

  • Ensure compliance with all compensation-related policies and regulations.​

 

Compliance & Recordkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate employee records in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Ensure HR practices align with legal and ethical standards.​

 

Policy Implementation & Communication

  • Support the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies and procedures.

  • Ensure employees understand and adhere to company policies.​​

 

Employee Engagement:

  • Assist in conducting employee surveys, focus groups, and other activities to assess and improve employee satisfaction and engagement.​​

 

HR Reporting & Metrics:

  • Generate HR-related reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.​

 

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Certification: SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional) or SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional) required.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.​

 

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in HR software (HRIS systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).​

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with employee benefits administration and compensation programs.

  • Familiarity with HR analytics and reporting tools.​

 

Working Conditions

  • Full-time position, Monday through Friday.

  • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for special projects or events.​
