Position Overview: 


We are seeking a results-driven and knowledgeable Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to our operations, focusing primarily on supporting our customers who utilize VoIP phone services and FTTH solutions. The Sales Engineer will bridge the gap between our technical capabilities and customer needs, ensuring that we provide best-in-class service and support while driving sales growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support and Consultation:

  • Serve as the primary technical resource for our sales team and customers engineering new system solutions on VoIP, FTTH and other customer needs.

  • Participate in the troubleshooting process post sales on system setup VoIP issues, offering quick and effective solutions.

  • Assist and participate in the turn up process as needed in configuring and deploying VoIP systems and FTTH/internet systems.

  • Sales Collaboration and Strategy:

  • Partner with the sales team to identify customer requirements, presenting tailored solutions that leverage our VoIP and FTTH capabilities.

  • Actively participate in sales meetings, providing technical insights to facilitate closing sales.

  • Help uncover new business opportunities and market trends, contributing to the development of sales strategies.

  • Product Demonstration and Training:

  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations that highlight the benefits and features of our VoIP and FTTH solutions, ensuring clear understanding by potential customers.

  • Conduct training sessions for both customers and internal staff, enhancing their knowledge of our products and services.

  • Meet and exceed continual learning needs to deliver the best service offerings for our customers.

  • Proposal Development and Documentation:

 

  • Collaborate with the sales team to create accurate, detailed technical proposals and quotes, addressing specific customer needs and requirements.

  • Ensure all technical documentation is clear, comprehensive, and accessible for future reference.

  • Market Research and Feedback Integration:

  • Continuously monitor market trends and competitor offerings in the VoIP and FTTH spaces to maintain our competitive edge.

  • Collect and analyze customer feedback on product performance and support experiences, collaborating with the engineering team to enhance our offerings based on real user insights.

  • Ongoing Relationship Management:

  • Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure long-term satisfaction and retention.

  • Conduct follow-ups after implementation to ensure systems are functioning optimally and address any emerging issues.

Qualifications:

​

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales engineering, technical support, or related role, specifically with VoIP services and FTTH technologies.

  • In-depth knowledge of VoIP protocols (e.g., SIP, RTP), VoIP systems, and fiber optic technology.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proven ability to resolve complex technical issues.

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into easily understandable terms for customers.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., NetSuite) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation purposes.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+, Avaya) are highly desirable.
